Common Modeling Questions

Q. Do you offer ZED or COMP Cards?
We do offer HEADSHOT, ZED or Comp Cards.  As a specialist in portfolio and advertising photography,  our goal is to help you get the portraits that you desire for your Business, YOU!  We also offer a variety of unique boutique items, albums and wall art also.  If you are a fresh face with an agency, many times an agency will develop your ZED or Comp and you only need the images.  This is the most common today.
Q. I have never had professional training and don't know posing?
Excellent, so no bad habits!  No experience, no problem that is why we do what we do.  You are new to the industry and need a professional to work with you to achieve a portfolio that is distinguished to the genre that you aim to model for, either it be clothing, perfume, or human figure.  We will always get your best foot forward to ensure you have the best chances of getting paid gigs.
Q. Do you do TFP or TFCD?
There are times that we look for models for updating our imagery or for an upcoming competition… If you need new images for your portfolio and we need new images for updating the site, yes we will offer a TFCD as we both benefit in your images.  If we are not needing a model and you need a portfolio… TFCD is not available as we are not in need for the images.  If interested in being put on the list for TFCD events… Contact Rome on Facebook Here and asked to be notified for future opportunities.
Q. My agency needs me to do a specific style, can I request a specific idea or style?
Absolutely!  We work with agencies and models all the time to construct a specific styled shoot.  Message us and let us know what you or your agency is looking for.  We are always shooting for agencies and individuals trying to achieve a sertain look or style for their needs.
Q. Do you have a Makeup artist or Hairstylist?
Unfortunately many in Wisconsin are taught they Must be Certified and cannot work with photographers unless they are a business owner.  Unfortunately this is a huge issue in Wisconsin as it is not true but many believe this to be true.  We are constantly looking for Hairstylist and Makeup artist to work with all the time.  If you have a person in mind for your shoot we are open to have them join you.  If you know any that would like to work in a studio, tell them they are welcome to inquire.
Q. I am Makeup artist or Hairstylist, Do you allow for outside artist to work with you for custom works?
We not only Support but would be highly eager to working on your special projects… We are constantly seeking individuals that are talented to collaborate with in the future and currently looking for an in-house makeup artist.  If you are looking to get custom images and artwork, contact us…

Q. Do you offer collections?
We do offer collections.  As a fine art and couture studio, we are your professionals to assist in finding what you need and not so much in trying to sell you the most product we can.  Our goal is to help you get the portraits that you desire for your home and to share with your family and friends.  We also offer a variety of unique boutique items, albums and wall art.
Q. Why do you offer lower prices and additional incentives to order at my order appointment?
There are many decisions to make in putting together any portrait order. They include choosing the best sizing, selecting the right images for wall art, and choosing additional images for folios and smaller prints. Your order appointment is designed to make that process as easy as possible, and to help you make the best decisions for your home and family. Trying to put together an order after your appointment is a far more difficult process for you and for us as well. We have chosen to reward clients who order when we present the portraits by offering pricing and other incentives to do so.
Q. Why does it take so long for my portraits to be finished?
The custom nature of our portraiture requires time and patience ~ that’s why we allow one to two weeks.  We are not a quantity over quality Studio. We want to make sure that every detail of your portrait order is perfect before we deliver it to you.

 

Common Session Questions

I didn't know about your studio and I already booked with XYZ Company?
Your in luck! Bring the receipt of your session fee from the other photographer and we will schedule you in for free!  Yes, if you have booked with another photographer and just found us, we understand your losses and will not charge for your session!
Q. What if I need to re-schedule my session?
We ask for 15 day notice if you need to reschedule your portrait session.  Together, we’ll find another time that will work for your schedule.  Failure to show-up for your session or to give less than 15 days notice may result in the loss of your reservation fee.
Q. How long does a portrait session take?
Some people may be shy or uncomfortable in front of the camera.  Establishing rapport and getting everyone to relax is the key to creating beautiful portraits for you.  Sessions are at least 30 minutes long, though some can last up to 8 hours depending on the type of session and location.
Q. Is there a session fee? What’s included?
Yes.  All our sessions are a small creative non-refundable fee.  This session fee includes the photographic session, Pro editing and culling of your images, and one presentation ordering session and administration.  The small reservation fee is paid when you reserve your portrait session.  This guarantees your session date and time is secured.  We will then Shoot the session, edit your images and get them ready for you to view.  You are then invited to our studio for a sight and sound presentation of your images.  This is when you will have the opportunity to order wall art and gift prints.
Q. What if it rains or snows on the day of our session?
Dress appropriately.  Some of the best images we’ve created are children and families playing in the rain or snow.  What could be cuter than a child with an umbrella and galoshes or snowflakes whipping by while wearing their favorite winter hat?  We’ll use the weather to your benefit to create unique images for you.  Snowball fights and puddle jumping are always lots of fun!   If you’d rather reschedule your location session due to the weather, we can do so or, we can photograph your session in the studio.  Please call us the day prior to your session to discuss your options.

Common Question about Presentations

Q. How will I see my photos?
Your photographs will be presented to you in a sight and sound presentation at our studio.  You’ll have an opportunity to see a variety of wall decor and gift items.  As only one presentation is included with your session fee, we ask that you bring anyone with you who will be assisting in your portrait selection.  This is when you will be viewing the images, selecting those you wish to have in your home or for gifts.  Payment is required when you place your order.
Q. How much can I expect to spend on prints from my session?
We have a wide variety of collections and photographic art for you to select from.  Most of our clients invest between $800 and $3500 for wall décor and gift prints.
Q. What should I expect to happen at my order appointment?
We will show you a sight and sound show of the portraits that we have created and prepared for you.  Then, we’ll work together to narrow down the selections and choose which images would be best to display in your home. (We are very good at making what might seem like an intimidating process as easy as possible for you.) Since the images are projected on a screen, you can view them at the actual print sizes we offer to help you determine what dimensions are most appropriate for your home.  Once you determine what you would like to own, we will review the investment, let you know what else may be included with your order, and finish by helping you put together the order that you determine is best for your family.
Q. Who should come to our order appointment?

We ask that anyone helping you with your portrait decisions be included in your presentation and order session.

We have special offerings that are only available at your order session and we don’t want you to miss out on those because someone wasn’t at the presentation.  Because we begin work on your order immediately, the decisions made at the order appointment are considered final.

The portraiture we create often exceeds our client’s expectations, and it is very common for clients to choose to invest at a level they had not expected to prior to seeing their portraits. Without having seen the artwork properly presented, spouses may not understand the decisions that were made in their absence. We want to be sure that all of our clients have an outstanding experience, and that we help maintain harmony within your family.

Q. How does your investment level compare with other photographers?
Generally speaking, we are in a different cost category than department store studios or shutterbugs that chase kids around the local park. Though we aren’t the highest priced studio in the area, we do offer you an excellent value for artwork you’ll treasure and enjoy in your home for years to come.
Q. Why do you ask that the parents of all children in the portraits attend the order appointment?
We can’t imagine that any parent would want to miss the opportunity to see their child’s portraits, and to consider owning them when the pricing is most advantageous. We do put a tremendous amount of work into preparing each session’s work, and for that reason we also want the opportunity to have the people who are the most interested clients at the order appointment to consider the work.
Q. When do I pay?
Your portraits are paid for when you place your order at the presentation session.  We accept personal checks, cash, and all major credit cards.  We also have the option to place you on a 3-6 month plan also, as there are many times clients are wanting a higher amount of images for their home and offices.
Q. If I want to order more portraits later, may I?
Yes.  Although our best pricing is only available during your initial presentation session, you may choose to order additional prints later at full price.
Q. How long do I have to make an order if we do not order on presentation date?
We will maintain your images for 30 days following the presentation of your images.  If you do not contact us, we will consider the order as “No Longer Interested” and delete the images to make room for other clients.  We will contact you the week prior to remind you.
